Big Baby, Shelden, and Marquis

The Celtics have announced that they have resigned Glen Davis after a long standoff during the off season. Many rumors were swirling around that Davis would sign with another team, but the Celtics managed to close the deal and keep their valuable big man. Davis provides more depth off of the bench, and gives the Celtics one of the best, if not the best, front court in the Eastern conference.

The Celtics also announced at the same time that they have signed Shelden Williams. Williams was the 5th pick in the 2006 draft, and has been seen as a bust so far in his career. Playing with the Celtics, Williams hopes to reach the potential that made him a high draft pick. He will add more depth to the bench, and more importantly, the front court.

More recently, the Celtics announced that they have FINALLY signed Marquis Daniels. Daniels had been linked to many sign and trade offers to get him onto the Celtics, but the Cs finally got him by simply signing him as a free agent. Daniels is a big combo guard, and will be valuable in the Celtics' rotation. The bench is now solidified, and should provide a bigger boost in games than it did last year.
