The Celtics have announced that they have resigned Glen Davis after a long standoff during the off season. Many rumors were swirling around that Davis would sign with another team, but the Celtics managed to close the deal and keep their valuable big man. Davis provides more depth off of the bench, and gives the Celtics one of the best, if not the best, front court in the Eastern conference.
The Celtics also announced at the same time that they have signed Shelden Williams. Williams was the 5th pick in the 2006 draft, and has been seen as a bust so far in his career. Playing with the Celtics, Williams hopes to reach the potential that made him a high draft pick. He will add more depth to the bench, and more importantly, the front court.
More recently, the Celtics announced that they have FINALLY signed Marquis Daniels. Daniels had been linked to many sign and trade offers to get him onto the Celtics, but the Cs finally got him by simply signing him as a free agent. Daniels is a big combo guard, and will be valuable in the Celtics' rotation. The bench is now solidified, and should provide a bigger boost in games than it did last year.

transactionssss
Well celticsblog.com has decided to spread a rumor that Leon Powe is interested in joining the Cavaliers. Hopefully, this is not true as Boston loves Leon Powe but absolutely hates those cocky Cavaliers. If this is not true, and Powe does not sign with a team this offseason, expect him to be back in green when he is healthy.
The Pacers and Celtics are still trying to work out how th Celtics will obtain Marquis Daniels, either sign-and-trade or outright signing. Could be some time before this deal is finished.

FREE AGENT UPDATE
This offseason the Boston Celtics have successfully signed Rasheed Wallace, have a verbal commitment from Marquis Daniels, and will match any reasonable offer made to Glen "Big Baby" Davis. The Celtics are going to be loaded next year and they WILL win the NBA finals again. You heard it here first.
